Tour Plan

Your adventure begins with a morning pickup at 7:30 AM from Marrakech, kicking off an unforgettable journey through the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi N’tichka pass. Along the way, enjoy stunning views and charming Berber villages nestled in the valleys — a photographer’s dream and a great introduction to rural Morocco.

Our main stop is the UNESCO-listed Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, one of the top highlights on any Morocco tours package. This iconic ksar has starred in many Hollywood films and offers a glimpse into Morocco’s rich history. A guided tour (optional) will help you discover its hidden corners and stories.

After lunch, the journey continues through the Draa Valley, passing lush palm groves and the Agdz oasis, before reaching Zagora — the gateway to the Sahara. Here, you’ll swap vehicles for camels and begin your camel trekking adventure into the dunes just in time for a magical sunset in the desert.

The evening is spent at a traditional Berber desert camp, where a warm Moroccan dinner awaits. Enjoy live Berber drumming around the campfire and gaze at the stars in the serene Saharan night.

Rise early to catch the desert sunrise — a peaceful and surreal moment that defines every great Sahara experience. After breakfast, ride your camel back to Zagora, where your driver will be waiting to continue the journey.

Next stop: Ouarzazate, often called the "Hollywood of Morocco." Visit the famous Taourirt Kasbah, a fortified palace that reveals the architectural beauty of southern Morocco. You’ll also have time for lunch before hitting the road again.

On the return to Marrakech, you’ll once again cross the High Atlas Mountains, soaking in the panoramic views for a second time. Arrival in Marrakech is expected in the early evening — around 7:00 PM in summer or 8:00 PM in winter.

This two-day Marrakech desert tour to Zagora is perfect for travelers short on time who still want a taste of the Moroccan Sahara, camel rides, Berber camps, and iconic kasbahs — all wrapped in one epic adventure.
