Tour Plan
Your unforgettable Morocco desert tour begins with a morning pick-up at 8:00 AM from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. You'll travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned 4×4 vehicle or minibus and head southeast through the majestic High Atlas Mountains, crossing the scenic Tizi n'Tichka Pass (2,260m).
Our first major stop is the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its unique architecture and film appearances in Game of Thrones, Gladiator, and The Mummy. You’ll enjoy a guided visit of this ancient ksar followed by lunch at a local restaurant overlooking the kasbah.
Afterward, we continue to Ouarzazate, often called the “Gateway to the Sahara,” where you may visit the Atlas Studios or explore the Kasbah of Taourirt. Then, we drive through the Valley of Roses and into the stunning Dades Valley, where you'll enjoy dinner and spend the night in a charming guesthouse or hotel with spectacular views of the surrounding canyons.
After breakfast, our Morocco travel package continues with a scenic drive through Berber villages to the famous Todra Gorges. These towering limestone canyons are perfect for hiking, photography, and simply soaking in the breathtaking views.
We’ll stop for lunch along the way before arriving in the Sahara Desert near Merzouga, the gateway to the stunning Erg Chebbi dunes. Here, your camel caravan awaits. You’ll ride across the golden sands to your luxury desert camp, arriving just in time to watch a magical sunset over the dunes.
At the camp, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, followed by live Berber music around the campfire under a sky full of stars. This is the highlight of many Morocco tours packages, offering a truly immersive desert experience.
Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the Sahara—an unforgettable moment of your Morocco desert trip. After breakfast at camp, ride the camels back to Merzouga where your driver awaits.
We’ll visit Rissani, an authentic desert town known for its vibrant souk and as the birthplace of Morocco’s ruling dynasty. You’ll see traditional architecture and get a feel for local life before we drive through the picturesque Draa Valley, home to one of the longest rivers in Morocco and lined with palm groves and ancient kasbahs.
Enjoy a final stop for lunch in Ouarzazate, then cross the High Atlas Mountains once more to return to Marrakech in the early evening (around 8:00 PM), where we’ll drop you off at your hotel or the airport.
