Tour Plan
Welcome to Marrakech! Your adventure starts with a road trip through the stunning High Atlas Mountains. Picture this: you're cruising along, with the windows down, passing lush valleys and quaint Berber villages. Then, you’ll hit the Tizi n'Tichka pass, at an elevation of 2,260 meters (7,415 feet) – it’s a breathtaking spot perfect for photos. Along the way, we'll stop at local spots where you can see the making of that famous Argan oil.
Our main destination is the UNESCO World Heritage site, Ait Ben Haddou. This ancient village, known for its mud houses and narrow streets, is the star of many films, including Gladiator and Game of Thrones. You can climb to the top for some amazing views. As the sun sets, we’ll head to a local guesthouse for some delicious Moroccan food and a chill evening.
Rise and shine! After breakfast, we head to the Todra Gorges – think towering rock formations that make you feel like you're in a giant sandbox. Then, we’ll pass through the Dades Valley, which is lined with kasbahs, giving it a theme-park feel.
Once we reach Merzouga, the desert awaits. You’ll hop on a camel and ride into the heart of the Sahara Desert to camp at Erg Chebbi – a golden sea of sand. As night falls, we’ll have dinner under the stars, accompanied by Berber music. It’s like a desert festival, but with way less people and more sand.
Wake up early for a breathtaking desert sunrise – it's the kind of view that’ll stay with you forever. After breakfast, we’ll meet a real nomadic Berber family and get a taste of their traditional desert life. Then, we’ll head to Khamlia to experience the soulful beats of Gnawa music.
Next, we’ll visit Merzouga Lake (if there’s water), which is like a real-life mirage, and you might even spot some flamingos. For all the Jurassic Park fans, we’ll check out ancient fossils – turns out the desert was once an underwater world.
In the evening, we’ll return to camp for another round of delicious food, great tunes, and some incredible stargazing. It’s so peaceful, you’ll feel like you’re the only person on Earth.
It’s time to say goodbye to the Sahara. But first, we’ll drive through the Ziz Valley, which looks like something out of a painting. We’ll make a stop in Midelt, a small mountain town perfect for a quick break.
Then, we’ll head through the Azrou Forest to see some cheeky monkeys in their natural habitat. Finally, we’ll reach Ifrane, a town that’s like the Swiss Alps of Morocco. Take a stroll, grab a coffee, and soak in the alpine vibes.
We’ll end the day back in Marrakech, where you can explore the bustling markets for any last-minute souvenirs before wrapping up this epic journey.
