Itinerary

Day 1: Agadir → Marrakech

Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Agadir. We'll take a scenic drive inland, traveling through the vast agricultural plains of the Souss Valley before arriving in the vibrant city of Marrakech. After checking into your riad, you'll have the afternoon and evening to get your first taste of the "Red City." We recommend diving into the Djemaa el-Fna square as it comes alive at night with storytellers, musicians, and food stalls.

Day 2: Full Day Exploring Marrakech

Today is dedicated to exploring the magic of Marrakech. With a knowledgeable local guide, you will uncover the city's most famous landmarks, including the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, and the beautiful Bahia Palace. You'll navigate the labyrinthine souks of the medina, where you can find everything from spices and lanterns to leather goods and carpets. The afternoon is free for you to explore on your own, perhaps visiting the tranquil Jardin Majorelle or relaxing back at your riad.

Day 3: Marrakech → High Atlas Mountains → Taroudant

Leaving the hustle of Marrakech behind, we drive south towards the majestic High Atlas Mountains. We will take a spectacular route to the Tizi n'Test pass (2,092m), a quieter and arguably more dramatic pass than the Tizi n'Tichka. The road offers breathtaking views and a sense of true mountain wilderness. After crossing the pass, we descend into the Souss Valley and arrive at Taroudant, often called "Little Marrakech" for its magnificent red-earth ramparts. We'll check into our hotel and have dinner.

Day 4: Taroudant → Essaouira

After breakfast, you'll have time to explore the charming medina and impressive city walls of Taroudant. We then head back towards the coast, traveling through a region famous for its Argan trees—you might even spot the famous tree-climbing goats! Our destination is the beautiful blue-and-white coastal town of Essaouira. After checking into your riad, you can enjoy a stroll along the fortified ramparts, watch the fishing boats return to port, and soak in the laid-back, artistic atmosphere.

Day 5: Essaouira → Return to Agadir

Enjoy a final leisurely morning in Essaouira. You can browse the art galleries and thuya wood workshops, walk along the vast beach, or enjoy fresh seafood at a portside cafe. In the afternoon, we will take the scenic coastal road south back to Agadir. The drive offers beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean and deserted beaches. Your driver will drop you off at your accommodation or the airport in Agadir, concluding your Atlantic to Atlas adventure.
