Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca Your journey begins at Mohammed V Airport (CMN) in Casablanca. We'll transfer you to your hotel and, time permitting, visit the stunning Hassan II Mosque, an architectural marvel on the Atlantic coast.
Day 2: Casablanca → Rabat → Chefchaouen We drive north to Rabat, Morocco's capital, to explore the Udayas Kasbah, Hassan Tower, and Chellah Necropolis. In the afternoon, we continue our journey, heading inland into the Rif Mountains to the enchanting blue city of Chefchaouen for our overnight stay.
Day 3: Chefchaouen → Volubilis → Meknes → Fes After a morning exploring the magical blue streets of Chefchaouen, we drive towards Fes. Along the way, we'll visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis and the imperial city of Meknes, with its monumental Bab Mansour gate. We'll arrive in Fes in the evening and check into a traditional riad.
Day 4: Full Day Exploring Fes Today is dedicated to Fes, Morocco's cultural and spiritual capital. A local guide will lead you through the labyrinthine alleys of the UNESCO-listed medina, visiting madrasas, the famous tanneries, and the world's oldest university. It's a deep dive into centuries of history and craftsmanship.
Day 5: Fes → Ifrane → Midelt → Erfoud We leave the city bustle behind and journey south, crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains. We'll pass through Ifrane, the "Switzerland of Morocco," and the cedar forests of Azrou, home to Barbary macaques. We continue through the Ziz Valley, arriving in Erfoud, the gateway to the desert, for the night.
Day 6: Erfoud → Rissani → Merzouga (Sahara Desert) After exploring Erfoud's fossil workshops, we may visit the vibrant market in Rissani. In the afternoon, we reach Merzouga, where you'll trade your car for a camel and trek into the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes. You'll witness a stunning desert sunset before settling into a Berber camp for a night of dinner, music, and stargazing.
Day 7: Merzouga → Todra Gorges → Dades Valley Wake up to a Sahara sunrise. After breakfast, we travel to the Todra Gorges for a walk through the immense canyon. We then continue to the beautiful Dades Valley, known for its "monkey fingers" rock formations and numerous kasbahs. We'll spend the night here, surrounded by dramatic scenery.
Day 8: Dades Valley → Ouarzazate → Ait Benhaddou → Marrakech Our final day takes us to Ouarzazate and the famous Ait Benhaddou kasbah.
